It just can't get any better than this

While trying to find some mention of the revised Mandate on the White House web site today, I came across a link to a page entitled, "It Gets Better".

It was really no surprise that a preening, posturing president who so desperately wishes to be identified with every pecadillo that piques to paletes of Progressive pinheads would want to jump on the It Gets Better bandwagon.

Bullying is bad. No mature person would want to associate with a bully -whether due to someone's LGBTIA.... identity or race or physical apperance or religion.

I certainly wouldn't associate myself with someone who spewed a profanity-laced rant in front of over 2000 high school students which belittled their values and identity and hurled epithets at those who refused to sit through his bullying.

In other words, I wouldn't want to associate myself with Dan Savage who cursed at, belittled the Bible and Christianity and called high school students who chose not to sit through his tirade "pansy-a##ed".

Dan Savage who is the creator of the "It Gets Better" web site and who, apparently, is the model for the president's position on those who disagree with him on Homosexual behavior.

On second thought, it can't get much worse than this. But it continues to, nontheless.

Bill O'Reilly blows his own horn and Taps for the Republic

Bill O'Reilly blows his own horn on Townhall in his article, Semper Fi, Unless It's Not Convenient, which describes the case of Marine Vetran Jon Hammar, who was unjustly held in a Mexican prison.

According to Mr. O'Reilly, his threat of leading a tourism boycott of Mexico directly resulted in Mr. Hammar's release.

Perhaps it did. If he influenced the decision to release the Iraq war Veteran, Mr. O'Reilly deserves to blow his horn. He did an honorable thing.

And in so doing he illustrated the lack of honor and lack of influence of our State Department and the sorry lack of responsibility of our President.

O'Reilly says, "When we asked Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for a comment, she refused to say anything about the case. A few of her deputies visited Hammar in prison, but the official line was that State could do nothing more."

Not since Jimmy Carter has the U.S. Government been so completely impotent.

He adds, "In mid-December, the Fox News White House correspondent asked press secretary Jay Carney about the case. President Barack Obama's spokesman looked perplexed and said he did not know anything about it. As unbelievable as that sounds, I believe that Carney was telling the truth."

I cannot recall a time when a U.S. Citizen, in particular a Veteran, was unjustly held in a foreign prison on fallacious charges and the president didn't even care to know about it.

My BS Meter is off the Scales

Washington Times Headline:  "White House says it didn’t edit Benghazi talking points"

"On Friday, Mr. Petraeus told a congressional committee investigating the Libya attack that the CIA’s references to “Al Qaeda involvement” were stripped from his agency’s original talking points."
David Petraeus had to be feeling heat following the Benghazi debacle. CIA contractors killed in an al Qaeda attack is bad enough. The possibility that the unseemly things they were doing would become public is worse. We now know that he was under investigation for something unseemly in his personal life at the time as well. We don't know, yet, if the FBI investigation was used by someone to coerce him to shade his statements to shift attention away from administration malfeasance in Libya.

But by the time he testified last week, it seems his boils had all been popped. His affair was made public, he lost his job, he suffered personal dishonor, and the investigation turned to whether classified information may have been compromised in the course of his affair. About the only thing that could make things worse for him would be to be found in contempt of Congress.

So, he had no reason to lie on Friday.

But that's what the White House expects us to believe.

White House national security council spokesman Ben Rhodes "told reporters the only change made by the White House to the CIA’s initial reports was to change the word “consulate” to “diplomatic facility.”

“Other than that, we worked off of the [talking] points that were provided by the intelligence community,” Mr. Rhodes told reporters traveling aboard Air Force One with President Obama on a trip to southeast Asia. “So I can’t speak to any other edits that may have been made within the intelligence community. If there were adjustments made to them within the intelligence community, that’s common, and that’s something they would have done themselves within the intelligence community.”

When a propagandist for the regime uses the same phrase FOUR TIMES IN THREE SENTENCES, you can be sure his purpose is to plant an idea in your head, not to convey truthful facts.

Sometimes the Forces of Evil in the country manage to create nuanced talking points to obscure the evil they are intent on inflicting on us. The sophistry vomited out of the mouth of Ba'al to cover opposition to a law making sex-selection abortion illegal is a case in point.

The way the regime intended the message to be sent:

"The administration opposes gender discrimination in all forms, but the end result of this legislation would be to subject doctors to criminal prosecution if they fail to determine the motivations behind a very personal and private decision," White House spokeswoman Jamie Smith said in a statement. "The government should not intrude in medical decisions or private family matters in this way."

The way a Congressional witling garbled the Party Line:

Thanks to the incompetence of prominent members of the Left like Shelia Jackson Lee, only the most Kool-Aid-intoxicated drone would fail to see the preposterous position that defending girls in utero from death by abortion is "an affirmation of the devaluing of woman."

The Law for Thee, but not for Me

White House Says Obama Fundraising Appeal Not Illegal

"President Obama appealed to supporters and donors in a videotaped message emailed by his campaign team to millions of people Monday -- a message filmed with the president inside the White House by a crew from the Democratic National Committee, according to a White House official who responded to RCP questions about the solicitation.

In the video, Obama tells supporters they can join him and Vice President Joe Biden for dinner if they win a contest offered by his campaign. "We're both really looking forward to it. Hope to see you soon," Obama says on camera. The script was written by the DNC.

The president's video is accompanied by a donor solicitation form in which supporters of the administration can check boxes donating from $5 to $700 to the Obama-Biden re-election effort."

"The Obama campaign video is a small part of an aggressive fundraising effort being undertaken by Team Obama. It also comes on the heels of criticism that the president, who campaigned to change the way Washington works, was instead participating in some of its more questionable rituals, including a March 7 meeting with Obama arranged by the DNC in the Blue Room of the White House residence. The meeting, first described in a June 24 Politico story about a list of attendees released by the White House, took place with business leaders who were former or current donors or fundraisers. White House press secretary Jay Carney told Politico the meeting was not "a fundraiser."

In the email message that accompanies Obama's Monday video, however, Obama campaign manager Jim Messina explains to supporters that a minimum $5 donation is required to enter the campaign contest: "Make a donation today and be automatically registered for a chance to have dinner with President Obama and Vice President Biden together. We'll cover your airfare and the meal -- all you need to bring is your story and your ideas.""
